Application Engineering Manager @Bal Seal Engineering

Lead for both tactical and strategic resource and project planning for the BSE Applications Engineering team, including employee and team development, implementation and maintenance of departmental processes and development, implementation, and maintenance of required tools. Partner with the BSE Sales, Engineering team segments, and Operations to support new and existing business initiatives. Responsible for improving overall segment capabilities and supporting Continuous Improvement, 6-Sigma, and DFMA activities. “Hands-On” leadership and support throughout the BSE organization. • Accountable for providing leadership and direction to the Applications Engineering team • Develop, manage, mentor, and evaluate employee performance throughout the year • Development of resource plans to support Key Objectives, Initiatives & production goals • Develop, update and maintain Applications Engineering Process documentation, Work Instructions, and Tools. • Communicate and interface regularly with key stakeholders and employees throughout the BSE organization • Establish a close working relationship with Sales to improve technical support for External and Internal Customers. External sales support will require virtual and in-person customer engagement • Provide a “bridge” between Sales and New Product/Opportunity initiatives, Engineering Segments and Operations. This will require an understanding of the end-use application and related BSE value proposition. • Review designs for applicability, form, fit, and function to a customer’s application • Develop, monitor, and report on Application Engineering Key Performance Indicators
