About Jamie Reese

I am passionate about making a difference in people\'s lives by solving engineering problems. An Electrical and Computer Engineering double major coupled with the Park Scholarship gives me the toolkit to look at existing problems and develop creative solutions. This skill set has allowed me to make an impact in education, manufacturing, aviation, and beyond. With International Paper and GE Aviation I have discovered business needs and quickly learned the skills to implement solutions. Whether it is teaching myself Python to get data to decision makers or working with machine operators to build Emerson\'s DeltaV modules, I am driven towards making an impact. I am a firm believer that we cannot solve every difficult problem alone. My work teaching with the Math Science Education Network has allowed me to work with underserved middle school students, inspiring the next generation with a love for programming, robotics, and engineering. Some of my top skills include printed circuit board (PCB) design with Altium Designer, hardware design with Verilog, embedded systems programming, MATLAB, Python / Iron Python, Java, C, VBA, TIBCO Spotfire, Talend ETL, PI Processbook, DeltaV, and SQL.Thanks to my clubs and internships, I\'ve had a number of exciting projects including- Developing a financial export script in IronPython saving in development costs- Creating an AWA Baker Tester Database to trend failure dates for over six hundred industrial motors- Converting a paper machine\'s controls system from APACs to DeltaV, automating the process to save several months of development time- Designing and creating a fully autonomous underwater robot\'s printed circuit board (PCB) system.
