ABOUT JAMES CHEW
I\'m a versatile software engineer with fullstack experience, including scaling a production RAG chatbot to 9x user queries, improving response quality through AI evals, and engineering improved context data integrations. I love building from scratch and seeing what users will do. Back-end, I\'m most familiar with Typescript / Express / Vitest. Front-end, I really enjoy template literals with vanilla HTML/CSS for small projects; previously, I\'ve worked with React, as well as Redux, and Tailwind CSS. Before software engineering, I gained extensive experience working with teams and stakeholders in management consulting. When problem solving, I look for solutions that are \"as simple as they can be, but not simpler\". I have experience with developing (and debugging) code, policies, processes, and teaching others. My affinity towards simplicity and minimalism is reflected in how I backpack, climb, ski, and generally try to live.
