About James Forest
As Professor and Director of Security Studies at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, I teach graduate and undergraduate courses on international security, terrorism, homeland security, counterterrorism, WMD and several other security-related topics. Since 2011 I have also taught a graduate course on terrorism and counterterrorism at the Fletcher School, Tufts University.I serve as Editor-in-Chief of the journal Terrorism & Political Violence and I\'ve published over 20 books and dozens of articles in journals. After serving 3 years as Assistant Dean for Academic Assessment at West Point, the Combating Terrorism Center was launched, and I became the Director of Terrorism Studies. I served 6 years in the CTC before moving to New England in 2010 for family reasons.
