ABOUT JOSHUAH JEST
I design and produce original and permanent multimedia attractions that combine video processing, projection, scenic design, and interactive systems. With a Master of Science in Art, Culture, and Technology from MIT, I have over a decade of experience leading diverse teams to create innovative, bold, high-caliber, and award-winning experiences in the arts, entertainment and non-profit sectors. My work and projects span media facades, commercial attractions, AI, set/scenic designs, software/hardware interfaces, installation and sculptural artwork, AR, still/motion graphics, and much more. I specialize in projects that augment physical reality with digital media or vice versa, creating surreal and immersive experiences for customers and audiences. Artistically my works strive to resolve the tension between the modern joy of the infinite and the timeless joy of the finite, by folding the virtual and physical together. My favorite part is sharing the resulting architectural-scale, site specific, and often permanent sculptural video platforms with local artists, as sharing these media beacons lowers the barriers of entry for emerging creators (many barriers which I personally faced, and many others that I have not) and accelerates localized cultural feedback loops.
