I am a national keynote speaker and trainer in deescalation, resilience, and leadership, and I am also a security risk management consultant who helps organizations reduce risk and raise readiness.Speaking and trainingI deliver corporate and national programs on deescalation and crisis communication, resilience and stress management, leadership under pressure, crisis intervention, workplace violence prevention, active shooter and active threat preparedness, and behavioral threat assessment fundamentals. Sessions are practical, scenario based, and built for real world incidents.Frontline Security Risk Management GroupI am the Founder and Chief Consultant of Frontline Security Risk Management Group. We provide security consulting and security management support including security risk management, security assessments, security vulnerability assessments, CPTED assessments, crime prevention planning, house of worship security and church security, emergency preparedness, emergency management plans, crisis and continuity planning, security policies and procedures, threat mitigation, training and exercises, tabletop exercises, drills, after action improvement plans, and fire and life safety training. I also deliver first aid, CPR, and Stop the Bleed training.CredibilityI have 36 years in public safety, security management, and emergency management. I serve as Chief of Police in Thompson Township, Ohio. I am a retired Maple Heights Police Department Lieutenant and Shift Commander. I previously served as Chief of Public Safety, Director of Emergency Management, and Fire and Life Safety Officer at the Cleveland Institute of Art.I am a United States Marine Corps veteran. I serve as a United States Civil Air Patrol Lieutenant with leadership roles including Deputy Commander, Emergency Services Officer, Safety Officer, Public Affairs Officer, and Group Emergency Services Officer for Northeast Ohio. I serve on the Ohio Crime Prevention Association Board of Directors as the 3rd District Representative and on the Ohio Association of Chiefs of Police Patrolling Chiefs Committee. I am the incoming President and Chair of the ASIS International Cleveland Chapter.
