Working within the Expanded Learning Programs Department- Created, facilitated, and taught STEAM/STEM based lessons to groups of 15+ middle schoolers every month. Examples include: Imagineering, Escape Rooms, “Energy in Motion”, etc… Also helped develop and teach fun and engaging Social Emotional Learning (SEL) lessons for students to engage in weekly. Focuses on friendship, mental health, and bettering oneself- Manage a group of 25+ students within the classroom on a daily basis, helping with homework and creating classroom expectations and management. Also, created weekly competition-style games for students to compete in against peers. Created, Collaborated, and Executed monthly events, within committees, for the students including a cultural potluck and movie night- Continue to foster a safe and nurturing environment for 100+ middle schoolers on a daily basis and ensuring safety protocols and procedures are met. Bringing my own innovation and creativity on a daily basis to continue to enhance and better the after-school program.
