ABOUT JIYA SAHNI

My passion for law began in high school when I developed a keen interest in entrepreneurship and business studies. One memorable experience was participating in a business plan competition, where my team and I created a startup from scratch. I was responsible for understanding the legal requirements, and I quickly realized how crucial a solid legal foundation is for any business to thrive. This experience ignited my passion for the intersection of business and law. Fast forward to law school, where I had the opportunity to intern at leading firms like Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan, among others. These internships allowed me to dive deep into corporate law, particularly in mergers and acquisitions. The hands-on experience I gained was invaluable and further solidified my commitment to this field. In my third year, my hard work paid off when I was honored as the batch topper. Outside of academics and law, dance has been a constant joy in my life. It has taught me teamwork, coordination, and perseverance—skills that are vital in both legal practice and achieving shared goals. I am also currently seeking corporate internships to further guide my career path.
