Building the real-time and streaming audio and video infrastructure that powers the Cantina app. Working with an amazing group of engineers on scalable back-end infrastructure, devops, and client-side libraries. Created a new team to build services to allow users to have real-time, spoken conversations with groups of bots and other users using best-of-breed ASR and text-to-speech techniques. Developed interfaces and protocols to allow other teams within the organization to integrate with these services.Based on WebRTC, the media stack is backed by our highly available, globally distributed media architecture, which ensures high quality and low latency for users around the world. We have endpoints in nine geographic regions and the ability to migrate services between regions to ensure continuity of service even in the event of a catastrophic event in one location.
