I am a senior aviation leader with over 34+ years of experience in driving operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and organizational capability development across diverse helicopter operations. With 9,800+ flight hours, including as PIC, and extensive instructional and examiner credentials, I bring seasoned judgment, disciplined execution, and an incident‑free safety record built over three decades.My career spans the Indian Army, PHL, and Reliance, blending frontline flying experience with high‑impact operational and administrative leadership. I have overseen large, complex environments—managing 32 helicopters, 84 pilots, and 14 detachments-ensuring safe, efficient, and cost‑responsible operations supported by strong systems and accountable teams.In my current role as Director Training, Chief Pilot, and TRE for the H160 Fleet at Reliance, I led the successful induction of two Airbus H160 helicopters, the first of their kind in India. This included the entire CAP 3400 process-from readiness planning and pilot pipelines to regulatory engagement, training governance, and post‑induction operational stabilization.My recent key accomplishment have been the training and qualification of three H160 Type Rated Examiners (TREs), strengthening internal capability, standardization, and long‑term operational self‑reliance. I also played a key role in securing a DGCA/MOCA exemption that enables direct PIC qualification on the H160 for the first lot of Pilots, aligning Indian operations with global best practices through structured, data‑led justification.With two H160s now in service, my next mandate is to lead the induction of two additional H160s and India’s first Airbus H175 by next year—focusing on organizational readiness, crew development, infrastructure alignment, maintenance preparedness, and seamless operational deployment.I thrive on strategic operations leadership, governance, risk‑aware decision‑making, and multi‑stakeholder coordination.
