I am working as an Appeals Processor. I am trained in provider and member appeals both. My responsibility is to give the final resolution to the provider or the member for there query whether it is related to the denial management or for benefits. I have to check all the criteria that the claim is handled correctly or it need to be send for Clinical or coder review so the the provider or member get there payments. All work is done through SOPs, I have to follow SOPs for the handling of the appeal and made decision according to SOPs. Appeals is the last LOB in terms of insurance claims. Before appeals I was trained in adjusting CMS 1500 claims and UB claims where I have to check the claim is pulling the right allowable working on duplicate claims verifying there patient details through the tools.
