About Jishnu Chattaraj
Since 2019, I have been engaged in delivering sewer modelling assignments for water companies in the UK and Ireland. Broadly, I am:• Good at: o Assessing risks caused by sewer flooding and overflows, including testing suitable options for their mitigation - a staple in all my jobs for Scottish Water, Uisce Éireann (Irish Water), and South West Water. o Scoping surveys to supplement flood risk/spill assessments and flow surveys – did quite a few for Scottish Water and Southern Water.• Decent at: o Model calibration and verification – verified ~40 flow and depth monitors for Welsh Water; reviewed historical verification data on Scottish Water’s projects.• A dabbler in:o 2D/2Di flood modelling.o Building catchment-scale hydraulic models from scratch.o Creating SQL queries to automate mundane tasks in InfoWorks ICM.I’m also capable of using GIS software like MapInfo Pro and ArcGIS to execute a few of the tasks listed above.At and outside of work, I value authenticity in people, and generally discourage approval-seeking behaviour.
