About Jinyang Li
Hi! I’m Jinyang Li, a 5th-year Ph.D. candidate in Computational Hydrology at the University of California, Irvine, advised by Prof. Soroosh Sorooshian and Prof. Kuolin Hsu.My research focuses on leveraging advanced AI and remote sensing techniques to advance large-scale hydrologic modeling and support data-driven water resources decision-making. My work spans global rainfall–runoff modeling, landslide prediction, cascade reservoir operation, and environmental risk mapping. I am particularly interested in scalable, spatially distributed hydrologic modeling frameworks.I have previously interned at Fujitsu Research of America and Oak Ridge National Laboratory. I will graduate in March 2026 and join UC Berkeley as a postdoctoral researcher in April 2026.
