I build platforms at scale — and increasingly, I build them with AI doing the heavy lifting.Over 9+ years I\'ve gone from freelancing PHP sites to architecting MyFitApp, a B2B leisure management platform at Innovatise GmbH with 5M+ monthly active users and a 27-engineer team across 5 squads. That journey taught me one thing above everything else: engineers who thrive in the next decade won\'t resist AI — they\'ll be the ones who know how to think with it, build with it, and design systems around it.Right now, that\'s where most of my energy goes. I integrate agentic AI workflows into product platforms — using LLMs not just as features, but as active participants in backend logic, personalisation, and intelligent automation.Beyond the product, I\'m leading a deeper transformation: reshaping how our engineering team works at a fundamental level — changing processes, tooling, and mindset to operate natively in the agentic AI era. Not AI as a shortcut. AI as a force multiplier across everything we build.On the architecture side, I\'m currently leading the modernisation of a platform in production since 2011 — a Groovy on Grails monolith carrying over a decade of feature complexity — migrating it into a modern microservices architecture, selecting the right stack per functionality with Node.js powering the majority of services, without breaking existing functionality — with agentic AI tooling accelerating the process safely. I also built a video processing pipeline on AWS with FFmpeg serving 1M+ users, and have spent years making high-stakes calls on scalability, cost, and system reliability.I lead the way good architects should — staying close to the code, contributing hands-on through strict prioritisation, and treating mentorship as a core responsibility.
