ABOUT JING ZHANG

Biology & Immunology Leader | Drug Discovery & Translational ResearchI am a biology team leader and immunologist with extensive experience advancing multiple therapeutic programs from target nomination through IND submission and into clinical development. I have led cross-functional teams spanning drug discovery, in vitro and in vivo pharmacology, MOA study, rodent and non-human primate PK/PD, translational research and TK/Toxicology.Trained as an immunologist, I possess deep expertise in immune cell biology and the pathophysiology of diverse indications, including immune-oncology, atopic dermatitis, inflammatory bowel disease, rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, metabolic diseases, and fibrosis. I bring strong scientific judgment and a comprehensive understanding of therapeutic targets across these disease areas.I began my career in in vivo pharmacology and progressively expanded my leadership to in vitro pharmacology and broader R&D functions. I currently lead HTS and functional assay development to support drug screening and mechanism-based evaluation. Previously, I have led in vivo pharmacology, translational biology, and multiple core functions, including HTS and flow cytometry cores.I have a proven record of people leadership, managing and mentoring teams ranging from PhD-level scientists to research associates and interns. I am recognized for clear communication, collaborative leadership, and effective decision-making, including scientific due diligence and evaluation of in-licensing opportunities.I am an author of 19 peer-reviewed publications and an inventor on multiple patents. I have prepared and contributed to multiple successful IND submissions and have received numerous awards across different organizations. I regularly present at and attend major international scientific conferences, including AACR, SITC, and AAI.
