My two professional passions are AI and investing. In December, 2025 I decided to try building a one-person AI-native investment management infrastructure. This journey has been eye-opening and it helped me quickly figure out what was hype and what was real in the field of generative AI, agentic coding, retrieval augmented generation, skills, MCP tools, everything. Here\'s my advice to everyone: 1. Tremendous productivity gains are possible but we need to get past just chatting with AI 2. AI agents are great for investment research, idea generation, and analyst grunt work 3. Context management and pair-coding are 10x skill-sets for non-technical professionals Here\'s what I\'m excited to work on: 1. Helping investment firms and family offices put AI into real production. Practical working solutions. Sitting in the room as a fractional AI principal for portfolio managers and CIOs. Develop strategy, assess vendors, technical review, hiring. Teaching investment professionals to build AI-native research workflows for themselves, through cohort and self-paced programs.
