Financial Reporting 1. Achieved 100% on-time monthly closing first month taking the position, comparing to prior periods, which enabled timely reporting at Division and Company level. Identified and corrected inaccurate standard cost during monthly analytical review. On average, standard gross margin of the product was improved by 50%. Implemented routine cost center review which assisted in identifying material mistakes. For example, recovered over $100K of labor charges from billing errors before financial closing. Developed and executed inventory reserve plan for allocating the reserves over several financial periods thus avoiding dramatic financial impact to one period. The reserve was approximately $1M. Internal Controls 1. Improved the SOX audit results by 20% resulted in a 100% compliance in account reconciliation and financial internal controls performance 2. Increased inventory cycle count accuracy rate to above 95% by providing timely guidance and feedback to operations team for corrective actions Customer Orientation 1. Started a recurring monthly meeting with supply chain, product owners and local warehouse management to develop a reserve for slow moving inventory and an effective scrapping process. This reduced material reserve requests by surprise and freed up the warehouse space for more than $200K. Developed resource model for the site financial management and created the proposal for senior management to address the gaps. This initiative resulted in management temporarily tasking personnel from other teams to address high priority financial issues until permanent hire is in place and trained. Upskilled existing staffs by providing technical and managerial training and coaching. Staffs increased their total number of tasks performing by more than 30%. Further, rework rate reduced by approximately 70%.
