About Jin Ho Kim
I am currently Chemist at Battelle/US Army DEVCOM Soldier Center. I have an expertise on nearly every analytical instruments including GC, HPLC, HPIC, UV/Vis, FT/IR, Raman, fluorescence, photoluminescence, ellipsometer, FIB-SEM, Nano-FTIR/AFM/SNOM, SEM and TEM, FIB, AFM, NSOM, NMR, DSC, TGA, thermal analysis, ELISA, CE, SEC, GC/HPLC-MS, optical microscope, confocal microscope, confocal multiphoton/nonlinear microscope, electrical probe station, surface profilometer, etc.I have much experience in organic/inorganic/polymer/biomaterial synthesis and formulation for color and thermal managements of fabrics and vehicles, biomaterial synthesis, purification, bioextraction, DNA separation, drug delivery, bioelectrochemical sensors, linear/nonlinear optics, optical spectroscopy, thermoelectric, thermal managements (thermal diode), solar cell fabrication, energy harvesting by using rectenna and MIM diode, fiber optic sensors, etc.My major in BS, MS, and PhD course is chemistry (analytical) and after finishing PhD, I have continued to carry out numerous projects for past 25 years. I have good knowledge on photocatalytic decontamination for toxic industrial chemicals (TICs), chemical warfare agents (CWAs), bacteria, and viruses, and polymer synthesis. In addition, I have much experience in drug delivery using carbon nanotubes, biomembranes, surface chemistry including surface modification, chemical modification of carbon nanotubes and graphene, and synthesis of semiconductor/metal/polymer nanoparticles/nanotubes. Another research interests were IR detection/camouflaging, EMI shielding, and e-textile.For the past 38 years, I have carried out various types of projects and solved many seemingly unsolvable problems and thus I am confident and have a strong ability to carry out any projects successfully. I have published 77 papers in SCI journals and presented my studies at famous conferences 94 times. I will devote my 38 years’ experience to successfully carrying out the tasks given to me.
