Amazon Astro2019 - present: Technical lead for the development of exploration technology (autonomous creation of maps used for navigation and localization) for Astro, Amazon\'s first household robot.20••••18: Designed and developed human-robot interaction software for Fire TVMember of the software engineering team responsible for developing Amazon Fire TV. Designed and developed various aspects of the Fire TV Launcher and Systems Applications over multiple product releases.2016: Technical Lead for aspects of the 2016 Fire TV User Interface upgrade, including a new data model and presentation architecture which allows users to fluidly navigate to and browse Fire TV’s applications and games, and which allows users to browse live TV channels on Amazon’s new Fire TV 4K television sets. Also developed the context menu system.2015: Technical Lead for up-leveling the Launcher, Settings, Out of Box Experience and other system applications on the first generation Fire TV devices from Amazon’s Android 4.2 based operating system to Fire OS 5. Helped tune performance and port Fire TV Launcher and other system applications to the new 4K Fire TV box.2014: Developed the Fire TV Retail Demo System. Fire TV demo devices were installed in kiosks at Best Buy, Staples and other retail stores in the United States and internationally. The demo kiosks promoted sales by allowing retail customers to interact with Fire TV.20••••14: Member of the original Fire TV Applications Team. Designed, developed and debugged various aspect of Fire TV’s user interface and client-side software, including initial client-server metadata downloading system and Launcher main navigation menu. Managed developers and served as technical liaison with Amazon App Store team. Efforts culminated in the Fire TV 1.0 product launch in April, 2014.
