Jim leads the Internal Audit Services Group of Dean Dorton Allen Ford (Dean Dorton). His focus is on providing internal audit assistance to companies of various structures and sizes including public companies, large private companies with mulitple locations, family-owned companies, government agencies and not for profit organizations. Internal audit services include co-sourcing, outsourcing, risk assessments, internal audit plan development, special projects, ethics/fraud hotlines and consulting. Jim also performs financial statement audits for companies in various industries including natural resources, energy, manufacturing, service providers, government agencies, not for profits, benefit plans and healthcare. Dean Dorton was created in 2011 by the combination of two of Kentucky’s premier accounting firms – Dean Dorton Ford and Cotton + Allen. These legacy firms have provided a culture that continues at Dean Dorton. This culture includes providing exceptional client service and the ability to be innovative problem solvers. At Dean Dorton we continue to pride ourselves on being large enough to provide expert services while still maintaining the core values developed by our legacy firms, which include personal and timely delivery of services. With 2 offices in Kentucky (Louisville and Lexington) and approximately 200 employees Dean Dorton is one of the largest accounting firms in Kentucky.
