ABOUT JIMSHAD KODAKKADAN

With over 17 years of experience in engineering and project delivery, I offer a strong foundation in district heating network design and multidisciplinary infrastructure projects. For the past three years, I have been actively involved in UK-based district heating initiatives and currently serve as a District Heating Designer at 3D Technical Design.In my current role, I am responsible for developing route designs, identifying route-specific HAZIDs, conducting stress analysis using SIS KMR software, and producing detailed 2D and 3D models. I prepare General Arrangement drawings, target depth layouts, foam pad configurations, alarm wire schematics, and fully coordinated As-Built DH route models. Additionally, I lead the development and continuous updating of tender, design, and construction drawings to support the successful delivery of district heating infrastructure across the UK.My engineering career began in India as a Civil Engineer, before progressing to the Middle East where I joined a leading multinational firm specializing in the design, fabrication, and installation of tensile shade structures. Over a span of more than 12 years, I gained extensive experience in 2D/3D design, project management, and site supervision across multiple high-profile international projects.This diverse background has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of interdisciplinary design, technical coordination, and hands-on execution in complex engineering environments, ensuring seamless integration from concept through to completion.
