ABOUT JIM NORTON

With over 25 years of experience across B2B SaaS, media, and advertising, Jim has built and led high-performing go-to-market organizations that consistently deliver revenue growth, scalable systems, and lasting enterprise value. He has served as Chief Revenue Officer at both early-stage startups and global public companies, owning full-funnel GTM strategy across Product-Led Growth, Sales Assist, Mid-Market, and Enterprise sales motions. Most recently, Jim served as CRO at Brightcove (NASDAQ: BCOV), a global Enterprise B2B SaaS leader in video streaming and monetization. Jim led all global GTM functions — including Sales, CS, RevOps, Enablement, Pre-Sales, Sales Eng, Marketing/Events, ProServ, and Support — resulting in sequential QoQ growth. He rebuilt the sales leadership team, implemented MEDDPICC and strategic account planning, and drove end-market solutions for media, marketing, communications, and sales use cases — positioning the company for sustainable growth and a strategic exit to private equity at a 90% premium. Before Brightcove, Jim was the founding CRO at Flowcode, a privacy-first QR and data analytics startup. He joined pre-revenue and built the company’s go-to-market strategy from scratch — hiring the sales team, defining value prop and vertical segmentation, launching multi-channel GTM execution, and establishing customer success and revenue operations functions. In under three years, Flowcode became an industry-leading enterprise SaaS platform, adopted by Fortune 500 brands, media companies, and sports leagues for real-time, data-driven customer engagement. Jim’s earlier experience includes senior revenue leadership roles at Condé Nast, AOL/Verizon, Google, and Tribune Broadcasting, where he scaled national and global sales organizations and built high-margin digital businesses inside traditional media brands. A former Chairman of the Board for both the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) and the American Advertising Federation (AAF). He also served on the Ad Council Board, supporting cause-based marketing. He’s been a featured speaker at Cannes Lions, CES, Advertising Week, ANA, and the IAB Disruption Summit. Jim is a Limited Partner at Stage 2 Capital, the go-to-market venture capital firm, where he advises early-stage SaaS founders on scaling revenue engines and GTM design. From building a startup from zero to industry leadership, to leading a public company through transformation and exit, Jim brings deep operational rigor, cultural leadership, and a proven ability to drive growth across stages, segments, and markets.
