About Jimmy Vien
I am a graduate at the University of Houston in the C.T. Bauer Business Honors College. I have majored in Accounting with a minor in Management Information Systems. I have finished the Professional Program in Accountancy at UH in order to further grow my accounting knowledge and proficiency, as well as network with other professionals. I am planning to sit for the CPA exams soon, with the goal of finishing all exams and eventually receiving my CPA certification. This is a small step in order for me to achieve great success in the accounting field! I hope to develop more insight in fields such as in Tax Compliance and Consulting, but also in Business Advisory and Internal Auditing. Acquiring skill sets and understanding of these different accounting fields will allow me to find the career path that will best fit me. However, I have to say that between Tax, Audit and Assurance, Tax currently intrigues me the most. My longest work experience was part time as a server at Aloy Aloy Thai Cafe. Outside of studying and work, I find myself out of the house often. Some of my favorite hobbies to do is going mountain biking around parks in the Houston area, watching sports, and improving my game in billiards. I also love watches and talking about them.
