I\'m a Victoria, BC-based journalist. I\'ve won awards and grants from the Society of Environmental Journalists, the National Magazine Awards, the Pulitzer Center for Crisis Reporting, the Canadian Association of Journalists, and more. My work has been published in The Guardian, The Globe and Mail, The Narwhal, The Washington Post, VICE, the Toronto Star, CBC, and more. I\'ve reported from eight countries – six of them in the Arctic – focusing on how communities interact with the environment around them.
