Arlo, IP Camera) Managed project engineers across locations (San Jose, San Diego, and Taipei) working with Asian ODM developing various versions of Arlo IP Cameras, including first generation battery-based camera running on CR123, AC-power Arlo Q, 2nd generation Arlo Pro with RGBIR technology running on rechargeable batteries, and LTE-based Arlo Go, and the nursery-oriented BabyCAM. All projects were completed in 3 and a half years. Revenue of the Arlo product line grew from zero to US$200 million in a little over 2 years. • (Multimedia) Recruited and built up a team of project engineers delivering 3 generations of multimedia streaming media players with complete product line up. The multimedia product line contributed tens of millions of revenue to NETGEAR in 2013. The product line includes 1) Google TV, 2) low-cost NeoTV set-top box (STB) certifies with major OTT streaming services including Netflix, Vudu and Huluplus, and 3) Miracast compatible Push2TV for screen projection from mobile phones, tablets and laptops. • Personally managed the Push2TV product line, from concept to production as well as making continuous software improvement on Miracast compatibility, coordinating with various mobile phone manufacturers (HTC, Motorola), tablet companies (Google, Sony, Toshiba), Intel and Microsoft. • (CTO office) As a member of the CTO office, spearheaded company strategy on home control and energy management which included energy monitoring, home security, lighting control, and video surveillance. Aligned with cloud-based management companies (Alertme, 4Home, iControl) and technology partners (Zwave, Zigbee) and proposed product offering to various business units in the organization.
