Monitors, coordinates, and implements policies, standards, procedures, controls, and guidelines to support security, compliance, and audit requirements.FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:•Monitors advancements in information privacy laws to ensure organizational adaptation and compliance.•Determines whether a security incident violates a privacy principle or legal standard requiring legal action.•Develops, reviews, and modifies information security and privacy policies.•Designs and executes audit procedures to assess and measure company compliance with its security policies and procedures.•Manages compliance testing and monitoring of current and future regulatory obligations, and other regulatory matters as required.•Conducts internal security risk assessments and security compliance audits.•Establishes IT security audit procedures relevant to PCI-DSS, SOX, GDPR, CCPA, ISO 2700-1, NIST 800-23, HIPAA, HITRUST, etc.•Maintains a strong awareness of legislative changes or amendments in order to ensure ongoing and future compliance; conduct yearly audits.•Advises, counsels, and educates executive and management teams on the relative importance and financial impact of associated laws; recommends changes where necessary.•Develops policies, plans, and strategies in compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and standards in support of organizational cyber activities.•Collects, analyzes, and prepares reports required for senior management, regulators, and other relevant stakeholders.•Documents, investigates, and reports cybersecurity compliance issues and incidents.•Works with business leaders to ensure information security risk findings are reviewed and solutions are implemented.•Leads the escalation and resolution of risk and compliance issues with appropriate stakeholders including Business, Security, Legal, IT, and HR, etc.
