About Jim McCullough
The current role is focused on security practices for (ISMS)\"Information Security Management Systems\" implementations. The frameworks for the ISMS implementations is primarily the ISO 27001 standard, NIST CSF \"Cyber Security Framework\", and NIST 800-53r4 controls standards. Another recent accomplishment is the completion of requirements for the MS in Cyber Security as of December 2017, from the University of Dallas Gupta College of Business. The current role supports business security practices development to ensure that customers\' business-related cybersecurity processes, controls, procedures and security posture and are compliant with the organization’s Information Security (GRC)\"Governance, Risk, and Compliance” requirements. Another important goal is to leverage past successful leadership experiences in corporate settings, and roles leading teams at the University of Dallas, and to contribute to the successful implementation of the Information Security programs for financial institutions, and within twelve months, a recognized security certification. Past experiences include professional services roles for technology three companies - Sun Microsystems, VMware, and Cisco Systems and partners. Extensive experience with server, emerging network, and storage virtualization led to a concentration on OpenStack Cloud Computing, and the SDDC \"Software Defined Data Center\". OpenStack technical training is a recent experience at Solinea.com as a member of a team of OpenStack developers and data center infrastructure and cloud orchestration professionals. Experience with VMware ESX Server, VMware vCenter Virtual Infrastructure, Cisco Nexus Nexus Inter-Cloud for the Cisco Inter-Cloud/Hybrid Cloud partner ecosystem, OpenStack, and partner enablement programs was a solid and timely exposure to emerging data center technologies.
