About Jim McMahan
I am a highly experienced Quality Assurance Engineer who brings a strong technical understanding of component functionality within applications into discussions with suppliers and into evaluations under my cross-functional project leadership. This experience guides my unique ability to integrate production quality metric driven analysis with supplier performance quality metrics in order to bring focus to specific opportunities for production quality improvements while engaging suppliers in continuous improvement plans. My use of the DMAIC process and advanced root cause analysis tools combined with my clear and effective communication style has enabled me to train suppliers in their efforts to complete SCARs in a way that will bring long term performance improvement and to guide cross-functional teams in the PPAP processes for NPI projects and new supplier qualifications. As a certified IPC trainer and an experienced supplier auditor for ISO 9001 and quality management systems I am well prepared to evaluate supplier quality systems and performance in order to lead suppliers to achieve zero-defect results.
