About Jaifred L.
Hi, I\'m Jim Lopez, I do research on factors influencing innovation and learning within health systems. I bring into this work my years of experience as a frontline provider and physician-leader. Through my work, I aim to empower providers, policy-makers and patients to make their health systems work for them, towards ensuring better health care for everyone.More about me:Jaifred Christian Lopez, or Jim, is a doctoral candidate at Duke University\'s Department of Population Health Sciences. He earned his MD from the University of the Philippines and a master’s degree in public management from the Development Academy of the Philippines as a Department of Health - Doctor to the Barrios scholar. He is also a certified Project Management Professional. He now focuses on research on learning health systems. At Duke, he is currently involved in projects related to health systems innovation within the US Veterans Health Administration, and in the global health context. He has been published in local and international journals and has been featured in print and mass media in the Philippines and internationally. He is also a founding trustee and member of various professional and cause-oriented organizations within Duke and in the Philippines.
