1. Director of Development

   Rutgers University Foundation

   Oct 2023 — Present · New Brunswick, NJ, US

   In partnership with the Vice President of Development, I support the Dean of the Medical School and other senior leadership to develop a strategic advancement plan as Rutgers builds a flagship medical school and academic medical center for New Jersey and beyond. I serve on the Foundation’s senior management team for Rutgers Health.I engage medical alumni to raise support for scholarships and other school priorities. I’m closely involved in the medical school\'s nascent capital campaign for the Rutgers Health Building, as part of the New Jersey Health and Life Science Exchange (HELIX), which will house a new state of the art educational space, translational research laboratories, and a Hub Incubator Space for biomedical startups and tech companies. I also guide strategy for engaging alumni and inviting them to help us build a medical school of the future as the Robert Wood Johnson and New Jersey Medical Schools merge accreditations into a two-campus, unified Rutgers School of Medicine. I was also recruited to build and formalize a grateful patient fundraising program. To that end, I partner with Department Chairs for Medicine and Surgery, including Division Chiefs in Non-Cancer Specialties, including Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery, GI, Urology, Pediatrics, the Child Health Institute of NJ, Ob/Gyn, Trauma & Acute Care Surgery, Neurology & Neurosurgery, Neuroscience & Cell Biology, and the Brain Health Institute and its five cross-campus, multidisciplinary centers.I currently manage an Assistant Director of Development, and a newly-promoted Associate Director. As we grow our team in the coming years, we expect additional opportunities to become available as we bolster our annual giving, alumni engagement, and grateful patient fundraising capacities.
