ABOUT JIM KAPNICK

With over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, Jim provides leadership to Kapnick and oversees the strategic direction and overall growth of the company. Jim joined the firm in 1991 working in various positions within the commercial lines department with a strong emphasis on new technology, risk knowledge, sales and marketing. Since his appointment as president in 2003, he has led the organization to achieve impressive growth in practice revenues and high client retention rates. Jim has also been a key player in developing the firm\'s strong carrier relationships and in driving corporate initiatives. He spearheaded the company’s emergence into the international marketplace and oversees international brokerage relationships. He is on the Board of Director of Assurex Global, which is an exclusive partnership of the most prominent agents & brokers around the world. Jim perpetuates the third generation, family owned business founded in 1946. He aligns his philosophy with the company’s core values which include integrity, respect, innovation and a passion for stewardship. Jim believes the company’s years of experience, growth, stability and success are a testament to the strength and integrity Kapnick brings to the table for their clients. In addition to his obligations to the company and clients, Jim devotes a considerable amount of his time to carrier advocacy, serving on several advisory boards. He is also involved at a high level with various civic organizations, is a regular speaker at seminars and conferences, and has been published in several magazines and journals.Jim is a continual learner, a student of the industry, and has attained the designations of Certified Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Licensed Insurance Counselor (LIC).
