About Jim Jirousek

I am a graduate of the University of Dayton with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and concentration in Energy Systems. I am currently working towards my M.B.A. at the Monte Ahuja College of Business at Cleveland State University.Most recently, I worked as a Strategic Analyst and Manager of EPRI Tech Transfer in FirstEnergy’s Emerging Technologies department as well as Fleet Technician in its Corporate Fleet department. Within Emerging Technologies, I assisted in cross-functional strategies aimed at power delivery, energy utilization, and corporate responsibility initiatives. In Corporate Fleet, I collaborated directly with fleet managers of our 10 operating companies to oversee the replacement of aging fleet units within our service territory.Following my time at the University of Dayton, I utilized my technical experience as a Project Design Engineer and Operations Manager. Additional experiences include Environmental Remediation Engineer, Student Government Association, Resident Assistant, and Supermileage Vehicle Team President. In my free time, I enjoy woodworking furniture and home mechanics with a special interest in motorcycle and automobile engines.
