I serve as the Senior Vice President in the Transmission & Distribution Service Group. As such, I oversee the functional engineering of pipelines, electric substation, overhead transmission, underground transmission, civil/structural, telecommunications, CADD and quality control initiatives. I also manage the division’s Kansas City operations and develop critical operational elements including processes, procedures, staffing plans, contracts and legal reviews. As mentioned earlier, I’m a civil engineer who specializes in civil/structural design for electrical substations and transmission lines. My knowledge, experience and expertise in structure design is vast and includes things like sag/tension calculation, generating structure loading diagrams, structural steel design and reviewing erection and fabrication drawings. Throughout my career, I’ve also amassed design experience in foundation design, including drilled shafts, spread footings, slabs, mats and pile foundations. My site development experience includes substation yards and oil containment systems, and I’ve also been involved in performing quality control reviews of design calculations, specifications, contracts and drawings.
