About Jim Gao

I am one of the three Co-Founders of Phaidra and serve as the Chief Executive Officer. In this capacity, I set the strategic direction of Phaidra and lead the company in operational excellence. I lead the teams responsible for Sales, Business Development, and Marketing, in addition to providing oversight and management for the company as a whole.Prior to Phaidra, I founded and led the DeepMind Energy team at DeepMind. Our mission was to commercialize DeepMind\'s AI technologies to fight climate change. Prior to DeepMind, I was a Technical Lead for Google’s Data Centers. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from University of California, Berkeley. I am the Chairman of the Phaidra Board of Directors.

Factories, power plants, and other industrial facilities are frozen in time — they operate in the same way they\'ve operated for decades because their control systems are hard-coded. And hard-coded systems cannot change, leading to performance degradation and a lack of resiliency.Phaidra creates AI-powered control systems that automatically learn, adapt, and get better over time. Just as autonomous vehicles get smarter over time, so too will future industrial facilities.
