About Jim Carpenter

I started training while working for Dentrix Dental Systems. I was a call center representative and was given the opportunity to train certain modules to new hire classes. I love it so much that I became a Certified Dentrix Trainer. This allowed me to go to customer sites and deliver training to new and existing customers. The training was a standard training program. This helped support me through college. After graduation, I took a job at Online Resources as a Training Specialist. My responsibilities here were to develop and deliver training to clients as well as customer care representatives and payment support representatives. I was quickly promoted to supervise the internal training and trainers. In developing training at Online Resources I used different methodologies for ID but mainly used the Accelerated Learning Method. I also started developing E-Learning materials for our internal systems as well as client facing E-Learning materials. After 3 and half years at Online Resources, I left for an opportunity to start developing more technical training at Hughes Network Systems. Here I have expanded my knowledge of E-Learning development and manage our LMS. I have really enjoyed my experiences as a trainer and look forward to many more years of training.
