   Jim Manley is the Partner in charge of the Lake Erie Market State and Local Tax group at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He has experience in all areas of income and sales / use taxes, including restructuring, appeals, compliance, transactional analysis, refund review and tax accounting / provision review. While Jim’s focus in recent years has been in the power and utility industry, Jim also has extensive experience in manufacturing and service industries as well. Jim currently leads PwC’s Power and Utility State and Local Tax Practice. Prior to joining PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in 2002, Jim spent 11 years at Arthur Andersen in their Detroit SALT practice.Jim holds a bachelor\'s degree in business and a master\'s degree in accounting from the University of Michigan.Jim is a frequent speaker at Tax Executive Institute, utility industry groups, EEI and Detroit / Cleveland business groups on state tax issues. He is member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants and a past member of the MACPA State and Local Task Force.
