ABOUT JIM WILSON
Jim brings an extensive and diverse career background to his calling to help people, which includes: serving in the United States Air Force, working as an EMT-1A, and as a Correctional Officer for the Solano County Sheriff’s Office, serving as a Children’s Pastor, in Youth Ministry, and now as a Chaplain. In 2011 Jim founded the 10-33 Foundation to help all first responders, military members and their families. In 2020, at the height of a global pandemic, Jim led a team of 13 crisis intervention specialists and counselors to New York city to provide frontline crisis mental health for travel nursing staff. In 2024 Jim graduated from Colorado Theological Seminary with a PhD in clinical pastoral counseling. Jim is licensed by the National Christian Counselors Association. He currently provides biblical and temperament counseling through Valley Church in Vacaville CA as well as part of the counseling team at Freedom Counseling Group in Vacaville. Jim serves as the chaplain for the city of Vacaville Police Department. Jim also provides support as the lead clinical team member for Freedom Equine Connection. Jim is also trained in EMDR to help those dealing with trauma.Most recently Jim joined the CORE Psychological Services Group and can provide services for members of the Vacaville Police and Fire, Dixon Police and Fire as well has Yolo County Public Safety members.
