ABOUT JIM SHEARS
With over 25 years of financial and business knowledge and experience, I have worked in smaller and larger plc company environments, both in private, public and start-up businesses where I have held various roles. I currently provide part time Chief Financial Officer (CFO)/Finance Director (FD) services to various businesses including entrepreneurial and owner managed, typically with a turnover between £1m and £50m, who don\'t want, don\'t need, or can\'t afford a full-time CFO/FD.Prior to this most recently I worked for bicycles, toys, sports, leisure and electric mobility business Tandem Group plc where I was Group Finance Director and then latterly Chief Executive Officer. I have experience in consumer goods, construction/fire industry, financial services, utilities and public sector; importing, wholesaling and distributing to both blue chip national and independent retailers and am also well versed in online direct to consumer (D2C/B2C) retailing.I am a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (FCA).
