About Jim Schaefer
I am a seasoned documentary and video producer, with broad experience in short and long form projects. I have been associated with the Towne Group television unit at the Department of Defense since 2004, and was one of two original writer/producers on The Pentagon Channel’s Emmy Award-winning documentary program Recon. That followed a wide-ranging career as executive producer, producer, writer and editor at TV stations in Washington, DC, Cleveland and New York, punctuated by a stint as Bureau Chief at a station group Capitol Hill News Bureau.
