ABOUT JIM RUIRONG CHEN
I graduated with Computer Science major from the University of Waterloo and joined Wish shortly after graduation. During my time at Wish, I helped build out the entire commerce/checkout system from scratch, worked on various fullstack projects on all platforms and eventually found out the best way to scale myself and my impact is to lead a team.I learned my way of management at Wish from leading a scrappy payment teams to a hundred person product engineering team. I was fortunate to witness first hand how Wish went from a startup to a unicorn, to a decacorn, and to a public company. The unforgettable 10 year ride was more than I could ask for as my first job out of college.Currently I am leading the core products engineering team at GlossGenius, where I apply my payments knowledge as well as the strategic mindset and entrepreneurial spirit in leading startup engineering teams.
