As the Director of Engineering, I am fully responsible for the design and application of all valve products. I have considerable experience in domestic and international travel including interfacing with people from different cultures due to the fact that these products are produced at many locations around the world. I have direct management responsibility for all engineering staff at all domestic locations and indirect (technical) management responsibility for the engineering staffs at all other locations. I also have frequent contact with both the company’s sales force, with customers and end users. These contacts typically involve specification reviews, company/product presentations, product application reviews, problem solving and sometimes direct field repair work. I am also the company representative at the various organizations noted below. My duties also include responsibility for Corporate Quality Assurance which involves overseeing the company’s Quality Certification programs such as ISO 9001 and API 6D. In this role I support the company’s operations and facilities to both obtain and maintain these programs. I am also responsible for all company Product Warranty issues, customer complaints regarding product quality and the repair or replacement of all items on a worldwide basis.
