With all that is going on in the world today, I’ve taken the time to reflect and look at all that I still have rather than what I have lost. Yes, Due to Covid, like many others, I was furloughed and found myself wondering what my next step would be. But I quickly chose not to wallow and feel bad for myself, instead, I began making relationships, helping people, and growing each day. With over 22 years of experience as an IT and Marketing professional, I feel there surely must be something I can do to help people in need. With the skills I have developed not only in the Medical Technology field but also in the Brand and Strategy arena I am confident I can and will be able to partner with businesses in need of brand management, website replenishment, and business application maintenance and infusion.Over the course of my career, I’ve gained skills in critical thinking, peer to peer communication, and project management. I am most proud of my skill of simply listen and understand what my customer, or partner as I prefer to call them needs. Also, my adaptability, being able to change direction quickly is something I have grown accustomed to over my career. These are attributes that I find invaluable when working with anyone outside of their comfort zone. People change their minds, plans change, you have to adapt. Each of these skills has allowed me to take on projects that needed quick resolutions. Being able to identify the mindset or tone of meeting attendees including their current focus, concerns with the focus of their jobs outside of the meeting, issues with applying new platform(s) within their individual areas, and to create a safe and focused environment where those concerns were addressed either within the meeting itself or with a quick conversation proved to be beneficial for co-workers as well as department leaders. I am proficient in many of the current software applications that allow businesses to thrive virtually including but not limited to Microsoft O365, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, Google Docs, Google My Business, Google Analytics, Zoom.
