Jim Nieman serves as Assistant General Counsel in Guardian’s Privacy, Data Strategy & Security, and Intellectual Property practice group. In addition to data privacy legal matters, he is also responsible for managing the development, design, and implementation of Guardian’s Privacy Program. With 20 years of insurance industry experience in various legal and compliance roles throughout the industry, he honed his privacy expertise and program management through extensive legal and compliance positions within some of the largest multinational insurance carriers. He received his J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law and undergraduate from University of North Carolina (Charlotte). He is also a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) with the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
