Jim Loughead is accomplished and knowledgeable in international business for oil, gas, and petrochemicals.As Executive VP for Badlands, he established, organized and hired an owner\'s EPC team for the Houston operations. He was involved in negotiating off take agreements, signing technology license agreements, selection of EPC contractors for FEED and EPC execution. He established the new location for the potential commoner plant after extensive review of potential sites along the gulf coast. He also worked on developing a plan for the operations of the new facility. Jim was Vice President – Project Development for Vinmar Projects, Ltd. Located in Houston, Texas. He organized and managed the feasibility studies and initial planning, selection of EPC partners. He assisted putting in place off take agreements. He was also Project Director for a Petrochemical project that peaked at over 250 people for the front end design with a project value in the hundreds of millions.As head of sales for Samsung Engineering America ( SEA), VP Business Development, he created a sales team and business plan for Samsung to continue to development and expand their engineering, procurement and construction market share in the US market. The company expanded in size by over 200%. He managed the sales team to achieve goals and objectives based on key performance indicators and meeting the corporate objectives. In Mozambique, Africa, he sold front end developing engineering services for a ton per day high ash coal to diesel gasification facility. He developed and sold the engineering services for major international projects. His career has spanned over 40 yrs in the engineering and construction business covering power, chemical, petrochemicals, refining, gas processing, LNG, and offshore areas. He has developed win strategies and closed deals for major international multibillion dollar projects with proven leadership abilities.
