Jim is a Civil Engineer from the University of Cape Town (1988) with a post graduate degree in Water Resources from the University of Guelph (1990).Project Manager with Hatch with over 30 years of diverse experience in the water resource and hydroelectric industry. Jim has led engineering teams undertaking the resource assessment, planning, siting, layouts, permitting, design and construction for new hydroelectric projects on more than 20 river systems in Canada and abroad. Significant experience as an Independent Engineer providing advisory, technical review and support to both developers and lenders for a range of transactions includes acquisitions, sale, greenfield project development and portfolio refinancing assignments.Recently projects: • Project Manager for the 29 MW Chaudière Hydro, Canada • Sponsor for 30 MW Hull 2 Rehabilitation Project, Canada• Lenders Technical Advisor for 250 MW Bujagali HPP, Uganda• Project Manager for 2,500 MW feasibility study on Kayan River, Indonesia• Project Manager for FEED phase of MW Ontario Pumped Storage Project, Canada
