About Jim Hogan

I am the Sr Global Director, FP & A for Koppers, providing financial planning and analysis for four global manufacturing business units within the $2 billion public company. I joined Koppers in 2014 and I’m primarily responsible for providing internal customers, including the executive team and business unit leaders, with meaningful analysis and data-driven insights into past performance and future projections internally and against peers and competitors within our markets. In addition, I standardized financial information flow, streamlined reporting processes, enhanced forecasting outcomes and played a significant role in the implementation of Oracle FCC.In my previous role as Corporate Controller, I was primarily responsible for preparing and filing the company’s regular quarterly and annual reports to the Securities and Exchange Commission. I also had accounting and reporting oversight for the international subsidiaries of one of Koppers’ wood-treating segments. I had also held key roles in a series of acquisitions, performing due diligence, valuation, and integration duties. In addition, I contributed to the development and maintenance of Koppers’ Sarbanes-Oxley internal control process, was the primary liaison with the company’s external audit firm and played a significant role in the implementation and adoption of two major accounting standards. Throughout my tenure at Koppers, I have led a cultural change across the global finance team related to policies and practices. As well, I pioneered the company’s accounting internship program, which allowed me to serve as a mentor to some of the region’s brightest students each semester. I was also a member of our Inclusion & Diversity, Sustainability and Risk committees.Prior to my career at Koppers, I served as a divisional director of accounting within a $2 billion public for-profit education provider, and as an auditor with a noted public accounting firm.I remain active in community service organizations, dedicating time as the elected Chair of the March of Dimes Western Pennsylvania Market Board of Directors in January 2022 through December 2024. I was named to the Board in 2019 and was previously a member of the “March for Babies” Executive Leadership Team from 20••••21. I also served as a volunteer youth ice hockey coach.I am a licensed certified public accountant in Pennsylvania and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a major in accounting, from Robert Morris University.I live in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania with my wife and two kids.
