ABOUT JIM HAWK
What excites me most is working to help individuals and groups understand their potential for making a positive difference right where they live. I love facilitating workshops and meetings where people can develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to succeed as a leader. I work to make my sessions welcoming and open to meaningful contributions by the participants - we all can learn from each other. I bring a systematic approach to developing suites of programs and services designed to equip individuals and groups. This approach is always mission-driven and with ears wide open to our prospective beneficiaries. My experience at West Virginia Wesleyan, and subsequent years in the digital print industry, allowed me to develop as a graphic designer and a marketing coordinator. I enjoy developing a marketing strategy and then getting the word out. All of this makes me perfectly suited for helping a small nonprofit or business seeking to empower individuals and groups working to make a positive difference. The one thing I am not looking to do is fundraising. I have found that, while I can do a good job, it is not something that I enjoy doing at all.
