About Jim Hallingstad
My curiosity early in life of how things were made led me into pursuing Manufacturing Engineering. There is no better place to learn this discipline than at UW-Stout where more Manufacturing Engineers earn their credentials than any other institution in the country. I have been fortunate to work for some companies with incredibly exciting processes, producing a variety of component parts in both very high quality, and some not so high in quality. I have worked in large corporations and small privately held companies all located in the “rust belt” that Wisconsin is in. For this reason, you will see me following, liking, and talking about Wisconsin companies.Timing is everything in life and is how I was fortunate enough to come across the opportunity to start the service side of the business of Nationwide Power from scratch. The critical power and the service industry were all new to me, but my education, work experience, and influence from my past mentors and internal drive would be what ultimately set me up for success. It also didn’t hurt that I came from a different industry with a different set of critical thinking and ideas.Every day I look around Nationwide Power and see all the great people, processes, and product (our service) and I am so proud for what we as a company have achieved and how well we take care of our customers. To be the cheapest or lowest price is easy, but to be the best in all that you do and to really take care of your customers by maximizing what we offer and really protect their critical power is priceless. My journey is to build a great brand with great people, the very best in Quality, defect free processes, and strong vendor relationships in order to share these successes in providing the best customer service and quality in the critical power industry.
