In my major gifts capacity I develop relationships with individuals, families and family foundations, engaging with them about The Hunger Project\'s work and inviting them to become major investors (that\'s what we call our donors). I also coach and mentor other members of our fundraising staff. As Sr. Director of Planned Giving, I work with THP investors and others who are interested in creating a legacy gift for The Hunger Project through their estate planning, or via a retirement account or insurance policy.

ABOUT JIM GOODMAN
After 21 years as a corporate lawyer in Philadelphia, I made my volunteer passion - ending world hunger - my vocation. I have been on the staff of The Hunger Project since February 2003.My goal is to continue to use my talents, relationships and commitment to impact the quality of life on the planet. My vision is a world that works for everyone, with no one and nothing left out.Specialties: As a lawyer I developed an expertise in employment law, contract law and dispute resolution. I also successfully managed a law department in a large company for ten years.Beyond my major gifts and planned giving expertise with The Hunger Project, I am trained to work with individuals and families in discovering and implementing their philanthropic vision. I facilitate a process and coordinate with my client\'s financial, legal and tax advisors to achieve financial and philanthropic goals.
