Jim was selected as Governor of Rotary International District 6380 encompassing 52 Clubs and 1,800 Rotarians in Washtenaw, Livingston, Oakland and Macomb Counties in Michigan and Chatham-Kent County in Canada, 2013 – 2014. Additionally served as Assistant Governor, Vision Facilitation Leader and Membership Chair (6x), Vice Governor and Nominating Committee Chair (current).* Met District membership goals with over 50% of Clubs experiencing growth.* Initiated restructuring of the Youth Exchange Program.* Visited, addressed and motivated all 52 Clubs within the first 5 months in office.* Successfully managed the first year of the new Rotary Foundation Grants Program.* Exceeded previous District Conference attendance records with 330 attendees at the annual meeting held on Mackinac Island.* Established the Virginia Nordby Women in Rotary Award to honor Rotary women members and leaders annually.* 20 of 52 Clubs earned the Rotary International Presidential Citation for Excellence.Formed 6 new Rotary Clubs, most recently Southfield Area RC in 2017. Inaugural Chair of the Livingston Sunrise Rotary Foundation, 2005 – 2006. Elected Charter President of the Livingston Sunrise Rotary Club, 2004 – 2005; grew to 38 members in the charter year.Elected President of the Brighton Rotary Club, 2001 – 2002; eliminated Club building debt, established a new scholarship and grew membership by 10% annually as Membership Chair.Jim continues to speak at Rotary Clubs throughout SE Michigan and SW Ontario, Canada on Rotary values and the benefits of Rotary membership.Recently Jim was chosen to lead the Livingston Sunrise Rotary Club again (a Club he founded in 2004) as its President in the 20••••20 year due to the President Elect being unable to serve.
